Ombria Resort, originally known as Quinta da Ombria, is a premium sustainable resort situated in the surrounding countryside, between the picturesque villages of Querença, Tor and Loulé.
Each of these villages and towns have plenty of character and tradition to offer whether this is gastronomy or sight-seeing. For example, the Nature Reserve Fonte da Benémola is located just 2kms from the resort and provides a nature trail composed of woodland and peaceful rural scenery leading up to a small stream. During the summer, this is the ideal destination for a picnic and long hikes. Querença is also a great option for those looking to indulge in a typical Portuguese meal and discovering the untouched remains from the 16th century.
Sustainability is an integral aspect for Ombria Resort.
Their environmental impact on the local community has been a fundamental consideration for the construction phase. The minimal use of natural resources, the total occupation of the resort and the smart use of bioclimatic and geothermal technologies have allowed them to reach their goal as an Eco Resort.
Construction has begun and the resort is due to be completed by 2021 offering quality and exceptional facilities such as an 18-hole signature golf course and clubhouse, a spa providing a boutique and daily treatments, state of the art sports facilities and a fitness centre, a conference and events centre as well as security and guest services. There will also be many indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy.
